Dr. Sara Suárez Gonzalo is a postdoctoral researcher and product director at Eticas.
She holds a PhD from the Universitat Pompeu Fabra of Barcelona (UPF). Trained as an interdisciplinary researcher, her primary focus is on the social and political implications of big data exploitation in the EU.
Her thesis, entitled “Big Data, Power and Freedom: On the Social and Political Impact of Massive Surveillance,” is focused on big techs’ data exploitation practices and how it has impacted our fundamental rights to privacy and personal data protection.
Sara has published articles in peer-reviewed academic journals, given talks at international conferences and has participated in several funded research projects.
